Shurbs Marble & Granite PLC quarries, cuts and finishes granite, marble and limestone into the pieces a building actually needs — treads, sills, coping, skirting and worktops — supplied to specification and ready to set.
Every project balances the same three things: how hard the stone needs to be, how it should look, and how it should feel underfoot. We help you land on the right material and finish before a single slab is cut.
Choose granite, marble or limestone based on load, location and look.
Slabs are cut to the profile and dimensions your application needs.
Flamed for grip and outdoor wear, or polished for a bright interior face.
Packed and delivered to site, ready to set.
Three materials, each suited to a different mix of load, look and location.
Dense and hard-wearing, with a fine speckled grain. The default choice anywhere stone takes heavy foot traffic or direct weather.
Soft veining and a cool, reflective surface. Suited to interior work where the stone itself is meant to be seen.
Even, fine-grained and warm in tone. Cuts and finishes cleanly, and takes a flamed texture especially well.
Every piece is cut to the profile and tolerance the job calls for, in any of the three stones above.
Stair treads and risers cut to run and rise, with a non-slip nosing on request.
Threshold pieces slightly sloped for drainage, sized to the frame opening.
Projecting sills with a drip edge to carry water clear of the wall face.
Wall capping with a weathered edge, cut to overhang both wall faces.
Low wall-base strips that guard the wall face and finish the floor line.
Worktop slabs with a bullnose or square edge, cut around sink and hob.
Landing pieces are cut the same way and finished two ways — a difference you can feel underfoot as much as see.

Answers to what usually comes up before ordering. Anything else — send it through the contact form.
Yes. Tread, sill, coping and skirting pieces are cut to the dimensions and profile you provide — send drawings or measurements with your enquiry.
Flaming heats the surface to create a rough, slip-resistant matte texture, mainly used outdoors. Polishing grinds and buffs the surface to a glossy, reflective finish, mainly used indoors.
Granite is the most weather- and traffic-resistant of the three, and is the usual choice for outdoor treads, copings and sills. Limestone in a flamed finish is also common for outdoor landings.
Yes, orders are packed and delivered to your site. Delivery details and timing are confirmed once your cutting spec is finalised.
Yes — it's common to mix, for example granite treads with a marble kitchen top. List each application and stone in your enquiry and we'll quote them together.
Send the application, the stone, and roughly how much you need — we'll come back with a cutting spec and lead time.
